By: Sydney D So as you probably know as of December 17th, the tumblr purge is in full effect, and everyone has either jumped ship or been pushed off the ship (for the most part). Personally I walked off the ship when they were asking “is this anyone's stop?” back in November, and I got on a new bandwagon called Dreamwidth! (With that I’m done with the ship metaphor, promise)

By: Sydney D I was a fresh faced twelve- going on thirteen- year old, when my best friend (at the time) introduced me to Tumblr. He told me what was then the famous phrase at the time amoung Tumblr users, “What happens on Tumblr, stays on Tumblr” (That obviously is not the case in 2018). And just like that I was signed up onto Tumblr, and now exposed to pretentious art blogs, black and white photography, and millions upon millions of post about bands Fall Out Boy and Pierce The Veil. I was very much knee deep into my emo phase, but I had found my online social community of like minded individuals.
By: Sydney D The sun was setting along the ocean covered horizon as the waves gently pushed and pulled the sand along the reef. The sound of families riding bikes and children laughing as they played tag filled the air- well at least the air surrounding the seawall. Because I was on a completely different island surrounded by college dorms and oil rigs, in my room with the lights off, wrapped in blankets on my bed. What was I doing on this apparent beautiful evening? Why scrolling through twitter of course. Which is how I noticed that I had a circle countdown instead of the classic 5...4...3..2.. Oh my G- I have 280 characters!
By: Sydney D Hey everyone! So, before I get started I want to place a fair warning that the topic will be over sexual assault and although I won’t go into graphic detail, I understand the sensitivity around the subject. So feel free to just skip out on today’s post and be back tomorrow for our scheduled programming or read my recent Halloween themed post. This also is really only going to focus on my opinion of the matter, rather than a fact filled essay; links for that will be at the end.
