By: Sydney D Recently I have been branching outside of my usual musical corner. Not to say I am a hermit or snob when it comes to music, I’ve always had a wide range of musical taste, but as the years have gone on I started to notice I would listen to the same artist over and over. So to rectify that I put on YouTube, listened to a song I knew from every genre (I like), and let YouTube do it’s magic. And surprisingly, YouTube did a pretty good job at showing me some new artist and bands that I am really getting into. So here is a list of my new and improved November Playlist!

By: Sydney D The sun was setting along the ocean covered horizon as the waves gently pushed and pulled the sand along the reef. The sound of families riding bikes and children laughing as they played tag filled the air- well at least the air surrounding the seawall. Because I was on a completely different island surrounded by college dorms and oil rigs, in my room with the lights off, wrapped in blankets on my bed. What was I doing on this apparent beautiful evening? Why scrolling through twitter of course. Which is how I noticed that I had a circle countdown instead of the classic 5...4...3..2.. Oh my G- I have 280 characters!
By: Sydney D Hey everyone! So in case some of you aren’t sure what a bucket list is exactly I have acquired a definition:
bucket list noun informal
Now that we all know what a bucket list is, let's talk about why I made mine! By: Sydney D Can we all just take a deep breath and admit that Ray Bradbury’s writing is boring, repetitive, and frankly not as astonishing as other written works? Because I can’t be the only one who found Fahrenheit 451 a watered down 1984 or Something Wicked This Way Comes to be as dull as watching paint dry on a sweltering day. However, I can still hear the silent cries of Bradbury supporters who thoroughly enjoyed his works and are google searching “Bradbury Pulitzer Prize” as they read this. But, I still think his writing is generic at best, mediocre at worst. And here’s why…
Just to clarify this is me talking about the files for like three sentences, not the actual files. Sorry!!
I just found out that the 25 year holding of the JFK assassination files expired today, and oh my god that is so cool! Like I am incredibly hyped about this. Since I’m currently in class right now as I type this I won’t make this a long post nor go into all the possible confirmed conspiracy theories. BUT I will probably write out my reaction to the released files- or well the ones I read at least, since there's 3,100. And also give some more clear background information! - Sydney D So I may be inactive till November 1st, because I am trying to wrap up college applications. And everything that could possibly go wrong is going wrong right now. But in the mean time, look at the rad photo I took of the sun setting behind the seawall skyline in Galveston.
- Sydney D By: Sydney D Hey everyone! So, before I get started I want to place a fair warning that the topic will be over sexual assault and although I won’t go into graphic detail, I understand the sensitivity around the subject. So feel free to just skip out on today’s post and be back tomorrow for our scheduled programming or read my recent Halloween themed post. This also is really only going to focus on my opinion of the matter, rather than a fact filled essay; links for that will be at the end.
